Day Walks in the Blue Mountains

Blue Mountains Private Safaris lets you discover nature's hidden wonders with tailored walking trails through the spectacular World Heritage Blue Mountains. Travelling by foot allows us to immerse you in this incredible wilderness region, preserved for future generations. Highly qualified and experienced guides will lead you on a walking safari adventure to be remember and share with you their knowledge of native animals, plants, and birds, and the cultural history of this unique wilderness environment.

Granite Gorges & Waterfalls A true wilderness walking experience into the wilds of the Wollondilly River where few get to visit. This walk takes you up a river bed strewn with granite boulders to the head of a hidden valley where crystal clear mountain spring waters cascade over the escarpment 300m above.

Sandstone Escarpments Experience a walk across a sandstone plateau boasting oustanding views across the Southern Blue Mountains.  These ridges are covered by heath and shrubs that are a blaze of colour during the late winter and early spring.  Enjoy the myriad of heathland birds - honey eaters, wrens, and finches.  Experience a superb range of native habitats as you pass from dry land sclerophyll forest into shady fern gullies where the Angophoras dominate the landscape.  This is some of the most beautiful and wildest bush close to Sydney with an extraordinary diversity of native plants and animals.

Cost is AU$225 per person, per day trip on a shared basis

Includes experienced guide, lunch, refreshments and snacks.  Day pack is also supplied if required.
